Mr. John Weeks, Jr.

John Weeks Jr, is a second generation cable entrepeneur who was introduced to the cable industry while still in high school by his father, John Weeks, Sr. During college John traveled the southeast, meeting cable operators and establishing relationships, many of which endure to this day. After graduating from the University of Georgia in 1981 with a BBA, John went to work full time in the family business that catered to the hardware needs of the rapidly growing cable TV industry in the southeastern United States. Upon the retirements of his parents in 1986, John took control of the family business, John Weeks Enterprises, and continues to operate the company on a day-to-day basis. John has been very active in many southern states SCTE chapters and has recently been recognized as a "Senior Member" of the SCTE. John is currently serving as the national committee chairperson for the SCTE Expo Vendor's Sub Committee. He has served four times as the associates director to the board of directors of the Southern Cable Television Association which also bestowed upon him membership in the Tower Club, an organization that recognizes outstanding leadership and promotion of the CATV industry in the southeast. John is an instrument rated pilot that has a passion for aviation and is also an avid golfer.
